The Idea of Acoye

An ideas hub to create from recycled materials.

A couple of old blokes and a girl on a mission to help clean the planet by starting here, at home, in Melbourne. Building a sustainably aware community together and designing products for the future made from landfill destined rubbish driving a true circular economy. A want to educate people, and show, that we can live in a world where sustainability and economic prosperity can co-exist. Keep it clean. Keep it green.

Our world is slowly being consumed by its waste, polluting our oceans, rivers & forests, there is an immediate need to create alternative options to many existing products. Better products formed from recycled materials to reduce the need for more virgin materials.

As a community we have a chance to rebuild our society and the way we interact with our environment. We aim to provide these tools to help get us there. We have a space dedicated to the development of new and innovative products, as well as alternatives to existing ones from waste materials. A place for small business and individuals to come, collaborate and grow.

We live by the 8 R’s. Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Refurbish, Repair, Repurpose, Recycle.
